The Lemosho Route is celebrated for its excellent acclimatization profile, stunning scenery, and low traffic. Ideal for those seeking a less crowded path, it offers a balanced ascent, making it perfect for trekkers of all experience levels—including older climbers. Over 7-8 days, you’ll traverse forests, moorlands, alpine deserts, and the majestic glaciers of Kilimanjaro, finishing with a sunrise summit of Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters).
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, you’ll be greeted by your Alvin African Safaris representative and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, meet your guide for a detailed trek briefing, gear check, and Q&A session.

After breakfast, transfer to Londorosi Gate for permits, then head to the Lemosho start point. Trek through lush rainforest, watching for blue monkeys, colobus monkeys, and vibrant birdlife, before reaching Mti Mkubwa Camp.

Hiking Distance: 5 km up, 12 km down
Time: 7-8 hours ascent, 4-6 hours descent
