This 5-day Tanzania wildlife safari is the perfect journey for travelers looking to experience the very best of Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit in a short but unforgettable time. With Alvin African Safaris, you will explore the iconic landscapes of Tarangire National Park, the endless plains of Serengeti, the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, and the beautiful Lake Manyara National Park.
Expect thrilling game drives, breathtaking scenery, and close encounters with Africa’s most legendary wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, hippos, and possibly the endangered black rhino. Each day is carefully planned to give you the perfect balance of adventure, comfort, and authentic safari experiences.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Alvin African Safaris driver-guide. You will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha, where you can relax and prepare for the safari adventure ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore Arusha town or enjoy a peaceful evening at the lodge.
After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most famous parks, known for its giant baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Enjoy an exciting game drive where you may spot lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and a rich variety of birdlife.
After breakfast, begin your journey to the legendary Serengeti National Park, driving through the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands. Along the way, enjoy scenic views before entering the Serengeti plains.
Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive enroute as you explore one of the most iconic safari destinations in the world, home to the Great Migration and incredible predator sightings. Later, continue to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight in Serengeti.
After an early breakfast, depart Serengeti National Park and drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with game viewing enroute. Upon arrival, descend 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive on the crater floor, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.”
The crater is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants,buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and if you are lucky, the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot near the hippo pool before continuing your exploration.
After the crater tour, ascend back to the rim and drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, depart Karatu for Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. This beautiful park is famous for its lush groundwater forest, dramatic escarpment views, flamingos, hippos, elephants, and the rare tree-climbing lions.
After the game drive and picnic lunch, drive back to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel or transfer to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
