ancient baobab trees, into the endless plains of Serengeti National Park where breathtaking sunsets and thrilling wildlife encounters await, and finally to the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater for a magical game drive on the crater floor. With carefully selected safari lodges, intimate game drives, and scenic landscapes, this honeymoon safari offers the perfect blend of adventure, comfort, and romance.

Full Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your private Alvin African Safaris driver-guide. You will be transferred to your lodge in Arusha for relaxation and safari briefing. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a quiet evening together as you prepare for the honeymoon safari experience ahead

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Romance in the Wild

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic parks, known for its massive herds of elephants, iconic baobab trees, and incredible birdlife. Enjoy a full-day game drive as you explore the park’s landscapes and seasonal river ecosystems. Tarangire is home to lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, and many other species. You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Later, drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park – Game Drive Enroute

After breakfast, begin your romantic journey to the legendary Serengeti National Park. You will drive through the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands, enjoying breathtaking scenery along the way. As you enter Serengeti, the endless plains open up into one of the most iconic safari landscapes in Africa. Enjoy a game drive enroute as you search for wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and large herds of wildebeest.
Arrive at your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight in Serengeti.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park — Full-Day Exploration

Today is dedicated to exploring Serengeti National Park, one of the greatest wildlife destinations on Earth. After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive across the endless plains. Your guide will take you to the best wildlife areas depending on the season. Serengeti is famous for its large predator population including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas.You may also see elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles, topis, and many other species. Enjoy a romantic picnic lunch in the bush surrounded by nature, then continue your afternoon game drive before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater (Crater Floor Game Drive) Overnight in Karatu

After an early breakfast, depart Serengeti National Park and begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with game viewing enroute. Upon arrival, descend 600 meters into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive on the crater floor. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World” due to its stunning natural beauty and remarkable concentration of wildlife. The crater is home to lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and many bird species. With luck, you may also spot the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the famous hippo pool before continuing your exploration. After the crater game drive, ascend back to the rim and drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Departure Day – Return to Arusha or Optional Zanzibar Extension

After breakfast, you will drive back to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel or transfer to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. Optional Zanzibar Extension: If you wish to extend your honeymoon, you may take a short flight to Zanzibar Island for a romantic 1-day beach escape. Zanzibar offers crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, and unforgettable experiences such as a Stone Town tour,
spice farm visit, or sunset dhow cruise.
